FAQ
Q: When exactly can a pacer join me (I'm confused about 4 loops or at sunset)?

A: Runner safety is our biggest concern in regards to pacers. Our race information page states pacers are allowed "after 4 loops (62 miles) or at sunset". An exception to this rule is if it will become dark on your 4th loop, then you may have a pacer join you after loop 3 (46 miles).

Q: Is there a 100 kilometer distance at the Javelina Jundred?

A: Back in 2007, RD's Rodger & Jimmy Wrublik created a "Wimp Out 100K" option. Runners who dropped from the 100 mile race, but still completed 100 kilometers (4 loops) received a 100K belt buckle. We continued this option in 2008 and will again offer this in 2009 and 2010. There will not be an official winner or results posted for the 100 kilometer option.

Q: How do I sign up for the 100 kilometer option?

A: There is no separate 100 kilometer race to sign up for. All participants register for the 100 mile race. The 100K award will be given to those runners who complete at least 4 loops on the course within the 30 hour cutoff.

Q: Do you have an awards lunch or banquet?

A: No, all awards are handed to the runners as they cross the finish line. If you would like to hang out after you finish, you are more than welcome to cheer on the other finishers. For some other socializing opportunities, come to the pre-race pasta dinner on Friday night at 5pm.
